this year, new year day was spent with family. as usual, we will normally go to temple to bless for a good year ahead.  Dad took the wheel this time, i remember i drank alot the night before, my face was bloated ( shui zhong) in the morning and i felt not comfortable to drive around. lunch was settled at Quality hotel. had no choice but to settle on this since most places were fully reserved.

 it was xmas day. had initially booked a xmas hotel lunch buffet but cancelled it last min cause parents dun want to have buffet that day.  and on that day, dad just drove around to see what interest them. and it cannot be in town due to road closure in orchard.drove along upper thomson road and saw ivin nyonya specialities.  well, it wasnt the type of food that i craved for. but parents were
